The community of Nocona, Texas, is mourning the death of Gary C. Robertson, who passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 72. Known for his strong work ethic, generosity, mechanical talents, and dedication to his family and community, Gary leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Born on May 12, 1954, in Colorado, Gary was a 1972 graduate of Nocona High School. He built a successful career through hard work, including custom carpentry, home building, and the oil and gas industry, where he established Robertson Well Service. He later continued working with Davis and Salmon. Outside of work, Gary enjoyed farming, raising cattle and goats, tending pecan trees, hunting, rebuilding Jeeps, racing his Mustang, and spending time outdoors.
Gary was also committed to serving others. He proudly volunteered with the Nocona Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Saint Jo Pistol Club. He shared more than 53 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Bonnie Robertson, building a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.
Gary is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his brother, Duane Robertson and wife Karen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avis and Donna Robertson, and his brothers, Terry Don Robertson and Randall Robertson.
