The community of Colac, Australia, is mourning the death of Jacob “Jack” Ramaker, who passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, at the age of 81. His passing has brought sadness to family, friends, and those who knew him throughout his life and work in the local community.

Born in Holland, Jack emigrated as a young boy and later built a life in Australia. He lived on the family farm in Apollo Bay before moving to Warrion, where he became well known as the owner of Warrion Auto Wreckers, a business he ran for many years.

Jack was remembered for the life he created, the people he connected with, and the family relationships that meant so much to him. He was married to Irene, later married Betty, and was a loving father to Craig and partner to Mary.

A service celebrating Jack’s life will be held at the Chapel of Hall Funerals, 75 Corangamite Street, Colac, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 am. Following the service, the funeral will proceed to Colac Lawn Cemetery for burial.
