Eamonn McNulty Obituary, Lifford and Strabane: Beloved Family Man Has Passed Away

The community of Lifford and Strabane is mourning the passing of Eamonn McNulty, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at Letterkenny University Hospital. His death has brought sadness to his family, friends, and the wider GAA community, where his family has held strong connections for generations.

Eamonn, of 5 Ballyduff Park, Lifford, and formerly of Fountain Terrace, Strabane, was a beloved husband to Patricia, a much-loved father to Barry, Mark, and Megan, and a cherished grandfather to Caitlin, Aoibhe, Lorcan, Mayla, Conan, Alana, Fiadh, and Aoife. He was also a dearly loved son of Bridie and the late Eugene McNulty and a brother to Eugene, Josephine, Ultan, Ciaran, Jarlath, and Anastasia.

The Strabane GAA community paid tribute to Eamonn, remembering his family’s long-standing support of the club. His late father, Eugene, was a respected figure within the Strabane club during the 1950s and 1960s, while his uncle John McCrory continues to serve as Club President of Sigersons.

Eamonn’s family and friends will remember him with love and affection. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and all who knew him.

Funeral arrangements include reposing at his home on Monday, August 31, with the funeral taking place on Wednesday, September 2, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strabane, followed by private cremation at Lily Hill Crematorium, Letterkenny.
