The community of Lisburn is mourning the death of James Alexander McBride, who passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the Royal Victoria Hospital surrounded by his loving family. His passing has left his family and loved ones remembering a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories.
James was the dearly loved husband of Sarah and a devoted father to James (Donna), Margaret, Ruth (David), and Grace (Pete). He was a much-loved grandfather to Ben (Chloe), Callum, Mia (Jake), Andrew (Danielle), Reah, Xzarah (Christopher), Zenitta, Maisie, and Ross, as well as a proud great-grandfather to Myles, Maddox, Nancy, and Scarlet.
A service of thanksgiving celebrating James’s life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Free Methodist Church, followed by a committal at Blaris New Cemetery Extension. Family flowers are welcome, with donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, going to Mount Zion Free Methodist Church or Hulls Hill Pentecostal Fellowship through Bobby Morrison Funeral Directors.
